Show some appreciation and love for your spouse, best friends, children, and other family members with this colorful Valentine Mobile that you can make in about 30 minutes. Cut 5 or 6 hearts of different sizes from pink and red construction paper. Use a hole puncher and punch a hole at the top of each heart. Connect them with paper clips in descending order. On the top heart, write the name of your special person. On the remaining hearts, write a character trait or something you admire and appreciate. This is especially good for preschool and kindergarten children who are emerging into literacy and are anxious to read. Teens also deal with conflicting emotions and need to be reminded that they are “good enough” and truly loved. Showing appreciation with loving words for a spouse can change the outcome of his/her day. When my young son was in elementary school, I made him this valentine mobile.
When he was 18 years old son, I found that he had saved his mobile and it was still hanging in his closet. Regardless of what we make or buy, the important thing is that we tell the people we love that we really do love them. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
